That's why most beginners take a lot of time in building authority and getting traffic from Google.
So Stay tuned beginners, I will remove your confusion and show you the real way and how I find low competition keywords high traffic.
What are low competition high traffic keywords?
Those keywords that have low kd and high search volume are known as low competition high traffic keywords. But, you might ask "Hey Agha, how can we know which keywords have low kd and have high search volume?"
It's simple really just log into Semrush and go to the keyword overview section and put the keyword in there and wait for the magic to happen.
Semrush will show you all the details about that keyword (KD, trend, volume. global volume. CPC, etc)
That is why I love Semrush and do all the keyword research on it. Now I have told you how to know about the details of a keyword, but how to find them is the work that this article is all about to stay with me and learn how to find low competition keywords high traffic.
Something to look at before finding the best golden keywords and ranking on 1st page of Google:
- DA should be 15 or below (For a new site)
- Volume doesn't matter
- Capacity Method (Fully explained at the end)
- Quality content with semantic keyword stuffing (to write content after the article)
- Backlinks
- Now just keep an eye on your Google Analytics and watch the organic traffic come in
How to find seed keyword for detailed keyword research
Now it's almost the time you were waiting for but before that, you have to find a seed keyword which we will use as a basic idea to find low competition keywords.
You have to do some brainstorming for a seed keyword for which we will later find low competition keywords (think about your niche and which things are related to it) and it will come to your mind.
Or there's another method "The Chatgpt Method" Just copy the following prompt and Chatgpt will give you some seed keywords that you will use to find low competition keywords high traffic.
"hey gpt, I want you to give me a list of 20 seed keywords for "your niche or category" and try to find real keywords that have really been searched on google if possible try to use ahrefs keyword generator tool"
Now Chatgpt will give you a list of seed keywords from which you can select one that you like and are passionate about, Now that you have found your seed keyword it's time to find low competition keywords with high traffic.
How to find low competition keywords with high search volume
Now you know which keywords are golden keywords (keywords with low kd and high search traffic) and have also found your seed keyword which is the first step to finding low competion keywords with high traffic.
Just follow my below keyword strategy that will find you the best golden keywords that you will rank on with a little effort. Step 1. Brainstorming
For brainstorming you just have to think about your audience and ask yourself the following questions:
- What problems do they face?
- What solutions are they seeking?
- What specific questions might they have?
These questions should all be related to your niche like "What problem do they face in finance" Finance is your example niche.
No matter how little or large these thoughts appear, make a note of them. Keep in mind that long tail keywords (those with three words or more) are your friends in this situation. When opposed to general keyword giants, they provide laser focused targeting with low competition.
Step 2. The use of keyword research tools
Now that you have a seed keyword in your mind for example mine is "topical authority" you might have your own according to your niche.
Log into your Semrush account or sign in, click on the keyword magic tool section on the left corner, and insert your keyword in it.
Now that you have done that simply put the following filters to get the most out of the Semrush magic tool and to find low competition keywords high traffic.
- KD To Easy
- Word count 0 - 4 (In advanced filter section)
- Intent accordingly if your topic is affiliate related so Transactional, or if your content is just an article then choose informational
For Example, my selected keyword is "topical authority map" but it doesn't end there now put your keyword in Ahrefs free keyword generator and check the kd and volume if the kd is below 10 in Ahrefs then it's a good keyword.
But it still doesn't end there you still have to do the capacity method that will remove any fear of not ranking and will tell you whether the keyword is perfect or not.
I would have shown you the process through an image but my Ahrefs isn't working so I can't show you the image.
Before doing the capacity method there's a small step that you can do (it totally depends on you if you wanna do it) Visit Google Trends and put your keyword in there and hit explore.
Filter the region by your targeting country (From which you want to get traffic) or you can also select worldwide and also filter it by the past 90 days.
For my keyword, it's going down so it's not a perfect keyword but don't let Google Trends hurt you. It doesn't mean you can't rank on Google it's just saying that the search volume for the keyword is constantly dropping.
The real way to find the low competition keywords high traffic is the capacity method which is following.
Capacity Method
Capacity Method also known as Competitor's Article Analysis (CAA) is the best way to know if you can or can not rank on a keyword for the number on the spot.
The capacity method means to analyze your competitor or the person's article ranking on page 1 of Google and trying to find the article's weakness and your success point so that you can get a handover.
First, you need to install SEO Quake, a Detailed SEO chrome extension for the best results. You can do it without the extension but with these extensions in your hand, you will get every weak point of your competitor.
Pay attention and follow the following steps to get the most out of your Competitor Article Analysis (CAA).
Step 1. Finding the Competitor
Finding the competitor is the easiest part and anyone from page 1 can be your competitor, you just have to examine every article on page 1 and think to yourself "Can I outrank this article?".
Now if your answer is yes then, copy the link to the home page of the article and paste it into Ahrefs DA checker.
If you have a new website then the DA of the website should be below 50, but you might be saying "Agha 50 DA is too much".
No, because Google doesn't rank articles based on the DA, it ranks articles based on quality content and I am talking from experience, if you have a great quality article. Following the rules of quality content. The Rules For Quality Content
The rules for quality content are those rules that you should implement on your article before saying this is quality content and then after indexing the article.
You say to yourself "Agha was wrong and the article didn't rank". Before questioning my experience look at the list below and ask yourself does this applies to your article, if not then you cannot rank on Google.
- First of all, you can never rank AI article, whoever have said that you can is a Fake Guru
- You should have built topical authority on that subject (it's not necessary but helps a lot)
- The article should contain some personal experience of yours
- Every heading should be optimized for Google featured snippet
- Keep the keyword density or repetition to 1.5% maximum
- Article should provide value for the audience and should follow the search intent
Step 2. Competitor Article Analysis (CAA) through SEO Quake
Now that you have the perfect competitor, it's time to outrank them. First, you have to do some manual article scrolling to find some headings that should have been there that could have provided some value.
After that, look for the author's personal experience about that subject. If the article doesn't have personal experience. Then you have the first weak point of your competitor.
Now Just click on your SEO Quake extension and a pop-up will appear with all the information of the article like the picture shown below.
Now go to the Diagnosis section and look for errors and a sign for warning that means your competitor's article has problems and your article can easily out compete them.
Don't know how to solve the errors and warnings? just simply click the tips button on the right of the error or warning and it will show you how to solve it.
Now that if you don't make the same mistakes as your competitor made then your article is ready to rank on Google.
But the analysis doesn't end there, now go to the density section and click the two words keywords table or how many words your main keyword contains.
Now look for your keyword and check how many times your competitor has used the main keyword. If it's above 2% then you should cut the repetition of the keyword to half of your competitor.
Because Google doesn't like too much keyword stuffing. Also, check if your competitor has put the keyword in the Title (T in SEO Quake), the Meta description (D in SEO Quake), and in the First heading (H1 in SEO Quake).
If not then you should also put the keyword in all of these and your keyword will easily rank on Google above your competitor.
But it continues beyond there you still have to analyze the article through Detailed SEO extension.
Step 3. Competitor Article Analysis (CAA) through Detailed SEO
Now I won't go into much detail about the article analysis through detailed SEO extension because detailed SEO doesn't show as much information as SEO Quake does but it's good to analyze the article through detail too. So there isn't any point in you not outranking your competitor.
The only Detailed SEO extension section that has helped me and has the hand the over SEO Quake is the Heading Section that shows the whole structure of your competitor's article.
After all the analysis on SEO Quake, you only need the heading structure of your competitor's article through a detailed seo extension.
Follow the below steps to get your competitor's article structure by using a detailed SEO extension:
- Go to the competitor's article that you wanna outrank
- On the Competitor's page open the detailed seo extension
- Now go to the heading section and analyze your competitor's heading structure
You might be wondering "How can I make a better heading structure than my competitor?" well, got you covered. Simply add more headings than your competitor has (more H1, more H2, more H3) and follow your competitor's structure.
If the answer to the topic is not at the top of your competitor's article. Then simply optimize your headings and make sure that the answering heading for the audience search intent is at the top.
That's it if you followed all my instructions in this article.
I guarantee you that you will have low competition keywords high traffic and you will have an article that will outcompete your competitor's article.
